Joey Rubin
Joey Rubin graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy in 2020. Joey then graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2023. During law school, Joey participated in the Legal Assistance to Incarcerated People (LAIP) clinic for one year. Furthermore, Joey spent a summer at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office. Finally, Joey interned at both the State Public Defender’s Office in Madison, WI, and remotely at the Metropolitan Public Defender’s Office based in Portland, OR.
After graduating, Joey co-founded Small Axe Cooperative Law. Joey then founded Rubin Law, LLC before working at Community Law S.C. After over a year at Community Law S.C., Joey returned to Rubin Law, LLC full-time on May 1, 2025.
Joey has had seven trials and litigated numerous other issues. Joey has had innumerable evidentiary, non-evidentiary, and revocation hearings before judges in ten counties.
